The Hotel des Academies et des Arts Paris is dedicated to the creative arts and is the foremost boutique hotel in the Montparnasse district. Firstly, because it chose as its home the very street where Modigliani had his studio. And secondly because it is just across the road from the famous Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, which has witnessed over time, the genius of people like Gaugin, Bourdell, Soulages, Giacometti and even Zao Wou-ki.
And finally because its owners Charlotte and Laurent Inchauspe have given the painter Jerome Mesnager carte blanche to draw his famous “white bodies” on the facade of the hotel and in the rooms and public areas. There are also sculptures by Sophie de Watrigant adorning the hotel staircase. Not forgetting the screening of artists’ videos, in the hotel’s video art room. A hotel which has become a real place of interest.
