Book a quiet artistic hotel in Paris

We could not have been more pleased with our stay with you the week of June 30 through July 6. Your hotel is really a gem with a level of service that manages to be both excellent and warm. We had been looking for a smaller hotel with a chic, contemporary style, business-level amenities, attentive, friendly service and convenient to transportation and restaurants. We found all of those things at Hotel Des Academies et Des Arts. Many thanks to you and your staff for helping to make our time in Paris so enjoyable.

Video Art in a Paris Hotel, Les Academies

Charlotte Batifol and Henri Taib also give performances in New York, where they have been working regularly for the last three years (for example the closing of the Open Stitch exhibition at the Location One Gallery in Soho).
Charlotte Batifol works in Paris. She is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d’Art de Paris Cergy and the Ecole Multimedia de Paris, majoring in graphic design.
She set up the PRIBLUK group and was selected for several exhibitions such as Paris Project Room in France.
With Henri Taib, she set up the group VideoJockey, which provides visual performances for special events or interior decoration in public places. (Visual Performance for the Open Stitch exhibition at Location One, Soho, New York).

Hotel artistique Saint Germain des Pres

Au sein de l’Hôtel des Académies et des Arts, voici l’esprit artiste du Montparnasse des Années folles revisité par un couple audacieux et plein d’imagination. Charlotte et Laurent Inchauspé ont ainsi conçu ce qu’ils appellent un « écrin pour la création artistique ». Les fameux « corps blancs » de Jérôme Mesnager s’accrochent aux murs des couloirs et des chambres, et même à la façade de l’hôtel… Tandis que les sculptures de Sophie deWatrigant escaladent la cage d’escalier.
Le plus : à côté des œuvres permanentes des deux artistes cités, l’hôtel accueille aussi des expositions éphémères des vidéastes Henri Taïb et Charlotte Batifol.
