Hotel artistique Paris
mai 17, 2008 by hotelacademiesartsMy partner and I stayed here for three nights in April 2008 after we read all the positive feedback on Trip Advisor.
We had a wonderful stay – the hotel is well positioned very near Vavin Metro station which is on the purple number 4 line directly from Gare Du Nord which is useful for those arriving in Paris by Eurostar.
On arrival we received a warm welcome from Henri. As it was our first time to the centre of Paris, he gave us tips on what to do, where to go and how to get there – he, and all the staff, were attentive, kind and professional. Luckily our room was prepared early so we could go to relax before venturing out to explore the area.
The room was, as all reviews point out, not exactly huge – but exquisitly decorated, clean and the beds were large and very comfortable. The bathroom had a lovely big bath with powershower (great after being on our feet all day!) and were were lucky enough to have the first floor room with access to the small sitting area outside. Free internet access in the room and flat screen tv were a great addition, though, as usual on the continent, there were only two news channels – but then again, what the heck are you doing watching tv when the whole of Paris is on your doorstep to explore!

Hype Hotel Paris
mai 15, 2008 by hotelacademiesartsExcellent hotel – we give it 4.5 stars. The staff was professional and friendly. One guy (Henri) spoke perfect English and was really kind & helpful, but the others spoke not much English at all. Maybe it’s because we usually only saw the staff working the desk at night. Henri was very well aware of the hotel’s standing on TripAdvisor – they check it very regularly, and really cared about doing a good job and maintaining their popularity on TripAdvisor. Loved the decor of the hotel – beautifully artistic and charming.

Hotel Basque Paris

My husband and I spent a week at this absolutely wonderful hotel and will most definitely be back. It was our second honeymoon and finding this perfect hotel made the trip one to remember…
I chose to reserve here after many, many hours of research on the internet on Paris hotels. I kept reading review after review for Hotel des Academies et des Arts with nothing but glowing references …now I completely understand why.
The room was immaculate, a decent size for French standards, and had a queen size bed (which was a must for us as opposed to 2 twins pushed together). The mattress and pillows were actually more comfortable than our mattress at home. We acutally had a week of the most amazing sleep! (We have 5 year old twins so this meant everything to catch up on sleep!) The bathroom was small but very clean and the shower was always hot and the water pressure was great.
